Below are some of my favourite travel items for Australia or anywhere in the world for that matter. Most of which I use myself.
They also all are unisex. As a traveller having a good bag, backpack and good travel accessories are essential.
Good travel gear with a good review makes every trip just that little bit more comfortable.
Cabin Luggage/Bags – Maximum sized allowance – Great for Minimal travellers!
Osprey Packs Farpoint 40 Travel Backpack – Great travel bag. Enough to fit all of your belongings if you are a minimalist traveller. Big enough to fit your gear yet small enough to not have to be checked in. Great if you don’t like airports!
Osprey Porter Travel Backpack Bag 46L – Just that little bit bigger than a Farpoint but still small enough to not have to checked. Logical backpack. It is my preference for minimal travelling. My number one choice.
Tortuga Travel Backpack – 44 Liter Carry-On-Sized, Travel Backpack – Very popular with the Digital nomad community. Has a dedicated laptop pouch that sits in a good position. A good price/quality ratio. No need to check your travel luggage.
Osprey Sojourn 80L Wheeled/Back Straps – I travel with quite a lot of gear. I have had this backpack/wheeled bag for years. It is logical and really strong. Great wheels when you need them and excellent straps when you need it on your back.
Osprey Packs Meridian 75L/28 Wheeled Luggage/Back Straps – Great travel bag which has all the great features such as quality wheels and excellent back straps but also has an attachable day pack. Great for extra shopping.
Osprey Sojourn 60L Wheeled/Back Straps 60L – All the goodies of the Osprey 80L just in a small package. Great if you travel a bit lighter. I wish I could and if I did I would use this travel backpack/wheeled bag.
Excellent Security Bags
Pacsafe Venturesafe 25L – Backpack that is very popular. I don’t use it specifically as when I want extra security I don’t like wearing a travel bag on my back. However a well travelled friend of mine uses it and swears by it.
Pacsafe Metrosafe 200 – I love this travel bag for day trips. It is a shoulder bag so you can always swing it in front of you. Enough space for your camera, wallet and a drink bottle and anything you need for the day, yet very secure.
Lewis N. Clark Triple Lock – This a great item for any traveller. The think I like with this lock is because of its design you can both lock your luggage but all fix it to something secure with just the one lock.
Packing Cubes – These packing cubes are great if you just want to be a bit more organised in your packing. You can allocate each cell for something particular. For example I keep all my electronics in one cell.
Lonely Planet Australia – This guide book is great for everything you need to know for your travels. Lonely Planet is always my go to for travel guides. This book is well laid out and will help you in your travels. Get the ebook as well.
Lonely Planet East Coast Australia – Just planning the East Coast? Then look no further than this guide book. Covers everything from the best spots to party and the best spots to relax. Ebook no problem too.
Lonely Planet Australia and New Zealand on a Shoestring – Going to New Zealand as well? This is great guide book for an overview of Australia and New Zealand and includes all of the essential things you need to know. Hard copy or ebook.
